a moving experience!

All-night dedication sets concrete foundations with new client

A Tamworth company has discovered a ‘diamond’ in its cement and bitumen-based product manufacturing process – in the guise of an independent IT and network services company that delights in going the extra mile.

When Instarmac’s IT manager called on the services of Netshield to deal with a technical problem, he got more than he bargained for.

“The team arrived at lunchtime – and left at 2am the following morning!” said Mike Duffy. “When Netshield’s Sales Director, Richard Carty, called just before last Christmas to outline his services, little did we realise he would turn out to be Father Christmas himself – such was the generous giving of his company when we called him in earlier this year!”

Mike continued: “As soon as the Netshield team realised that bringing down the servers would badly affect our customers, they insisted on working with us through the night to avoid this problem.”

Moving reason

Moving to nearby bespoke Birch Coppice later this summer, Instarmac had no hesitation in again calling on Netshield’s services. “The expansion move shall bring our current two sites under one roof and the relocation shall be done in two phases, which means establishing effective communication between the manufacturing and admin sites until the move is completed early next year. Netshield is even loaning us specialist equipment to ensure the very best service,” said Mike.

Instarmac is also making the most of the move in IT terms, by inviting Netshield to install a new, permanent communications network.

“Although my team and I could establish all this ourselves, Netshield shall save us considerable time - and therefore money. These days, IT people are responsible not only for computers, but just about anything that has a plug – so demands on our time are greater than ever before!” explained Mike, who now regards Richard and his colleagues as part of his own team, such is their commitment and friendly approach.

Cost-saving

Richard added: “We always try to assign a specific team of staff to each client, in order to build familiarity - as though that team was part of their own workforce – with the cost-saving element of a bolt-on-bolt-off service.

“Employing your own full-time IT staff and keeping their skills up-to-date is a costly business. Plus, being a fluid industry, staff move on – while Netshield offers a consistent team of people who provide a reassuringly familiar face for clients,” said Richard, who established the Aldridge company in 1996.

He added that Netshield also enjoys going the extra mile whenever necessary – be it an all-night visit as in the case of Instarmac, or hopping on and off planes to service clients from Scotland through to Dubai.”

Concluding, Mike said: “Netshield is a professional, friendly company which does exactly what is says on the tin – I would recommend Richard and his team to anyone!”
